Exploring Acadia National Park

5 days/5 nights - base camping on Mt. Desert Island

The magic of Acadia National Park cannot be overstated particularly on a crisp, clear blue June day that highlights the beauty of this national park. Using a local campground as our base, we'll venture off each day to explore the coves, bays and islands that fringe the shores of Mt. Desert Island, home to Acadia National Park. From its exposed southern shore to the protected waters of Frenchmen's Bay on its northerly side, there will be ample opportunity to enjoy the spectacular scenery and great paddling that this area affords. In addition to the coastal paddling we can enjoy here, there are numerous lakes within the park that provide outstanding views of the nearby mountains and opportunities to see various wildlife. Finally, for those of you who like to take a break from the kayaking, there are plenty of hiking trails within the park that offer just one more vantage point of this magnificent park.

This is a trip to be enjoyed by any level of paddler who desires to see Acadia by kayak. Each day you will enjoy a healthy, hearty breakfast, a picnic lunch, and return to camp for a delicious, gourmet dinner prepared by us.
